The Spirit of Yoga Teacher Training is for anyone who would like to become a certified yoga teacher or to deepen their yoga practice. The course will integrate a variety of yoga traditions including Astanga, Kripalu, Vinyasa Flow, Forrest, and Iyengar, and will cover the basic yoga asanas found in classical Hatha Yoga classes. The student will be introduced to asana practices from the yoga traditions mentioned above and will be taught how to effectively teach yoga to students of all levels. Breathing, meditation, anatomy, physiology, charkas, ethics, assisting, correcting, philosophy, yoga sutras, teaching styles and qualities of a good teacher will be taught. This course will integrate many styles of yoga to develop a well rounded yoga teacher and/or yoga student. After completing the required 200 hour program a certification from The Spirit of Yoga will be given and the student may also register with Yoga Alliance to become a Registered Yoga Teacher – 200 hour level. This course has been designed to meet the renewed guidelines set by Yoga Alliance. Pam Walsh, RYT, owner of The Spirit of Yoga will lead the certification program. Experienced practitioners will present classes in their areas of expertise. The program can be customized to fit your schedule, with the opportunity to take up to a year to complete the program. Classes may be made up during our fall 2007 program. The training will be held at our Downingtown studio. The 200 hour teacher training will begin in September. It will include the following:

The Spirit of Yoga Teacher Certification Fees: $2000 if paid in full by August 25, 2008 $2075 if paid in full by September 17, 2008 $2100 if paid after September 17, in monthly payments of $420 due Sept. 15, Oct.15, Nov. 15, Dec. 15, Jan. 15 Other payment arrangements may also be made. A deposit of $250 is required to reserve your space. Only 12 people will be accepted for the Fall/Winter semester.
